Note: The Student Supply Fee is the estimated cost that a student will spend to purchase their own necessary supplies for the class for the year. The Teacher Supply Fee is the cost of supplies that the teacher will provide for the student generally at the beginning of the year.
Enjoy hearing stories, playing games, and singing songs in Spanish as an introduction to the language at a very basic level. The emphasis will be on having fun while learning. Bilingual mini-books will be sent home weekly. Repeating students are welcome as we will be learning some new songs, stories, Bible verses, and games this year. Parents are always welcome and may be required for younger students.

The emphasis of this class will be an introduction to Spanish nouns and pronunciations through games, songs, Bible verses, and exercises. Some phrases and conversational Spanish will be taught. Students should be able to read and write in English. Students will learn about 10 words per class. Vocabulary will include: colors, numbers, shapes, things in / around a house and school, clothing, family members, body parts, calendar, and foods. This class is for students who have completed Spanish I or have had similar previous basic Spanish instruction. In this class students will study Spanish nouns, verbs, pronouns, prepositions, phrases, sentences, and pronunciation through games, songs, reading, Bible verses, and written exercises. Students will study about 10 words per class. Vocabulary will include: occupations, places in the community, transportation, holidays, feelings & emotions, prepositions, personal pronouns, articles, and adjectives. Students will also learn to conjugate seven present tense verbs. This class is for students who have completed Spanish II or have had similar previous basic Spanish instruction. In this class students will study regular and irregular verbs to a much larger extent than in previous classes using games, songs, reading, Bible verses, and written exercises. They will learn how to conjugate over 50 different verbs. Students will study about 12 words per class. Vocabulary will include: sports, weather, school subjects, pets, and the vast animal kingdom and their habitats. This class will have a major focus on the conversational aspect of the language. We will use games, skits, songs, puzzles, videos, and lots of other fun ways to hear and speak A LOT of Spanish in class. Students will also be learning some Bible scriptures and Hymns which they can choose themselves. There will be some homework required, mainly to help with some basic writing skills. We will also enjoy some stories in class as we 'read aloud' for emphasis on pronounciation, and maybe even write our very own story as a class!! This class will also focus on conversation with the use of games, skits, songs, videos and other fun ways to help the class engage in lots of Spanish conversation. We will also have Scripture memorization and recitation for emphasis on pronounciation. If time permits, we will also learn other parts of the Bible, i.e.: The Ten Commandments, The Beatitudes, The Lord's Prayer, and other scriptures that the Students can choose themselves! Some homework will be required to aid with writing skills, and with each Student's improvement, he/she will be able to develop, write, and read their own short story, poem, or song, IN SPANISH!!
