The Centre of Elgin (featuring Homeschool Gym & Swim, an indoor walking track, indoor pools, rock climbing, fitness, etc.) is located just a few blocks northeast at 100 Symphony Way.

Elgin Area Historical Society & Museum is located at 360 Park in Elgin.

Gail Borden Public Library (featuring a toddler play area, fireside quiet reading room overlooking the river, computers, drive-up service, etc.) is located just a few blocks northeast at 270 N. Grove Ave.

Hawthorne Hill Nature Center is located at 28 Brookside Drive.

The Hemmens (featuring children’s plays and concerts) is located just a few blocks northeast at 45 Symphony Way.

Lord’s Park (featuring a small zoo, Elgin Public Museum, trails, playgrounds, tennis, outdoor pool) is located at 225 Grand Blvd.

Trout Park (featuring hiking trails, playground, ball diamond) is located at Rte. 25 and Trout Park Blvd.
