Learn the basics of sewing from hand sewing to using a machine together. We're going to make a quilt together for someone in need. And you'll also have the opportunity to make a quilted pillowcase for yourself. While we're learning to quilt, we're going to learn about the history of quilt making, proper etiquette of quilt making, and we're going to learn about our special person who will receive our quilt. We'll correspond with them and learn about giving to those in need. You may want to bring any scrap material that you have and a good pair of fabric scissors. When we get to sewing by machine, you will need to bring one to class.
Students should have completed Beginning Sewing or have sewing experience. Bring your patterns and material and we'll work on our projects together. If you have a problem, you'll get help with some of your tough projects. You'll need to bring a good pair of fabric scissors and your sewing machine.
